Miley’s New Era: The Album “Bass Persuades” Comes Out on September 18

She is one of music’s true generational icons. She has the ability to reinvent herself in a thousand different ways, while remaining true to the talent that, ever since she was a child, has allowed her to reach the pinnacle of global fame. Her face is sought after by top-tier brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Maison Margiela, Gucci, and many others. With her voice and her music, she has released platinum- and diamond-certified albums, winning awards such as Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards for “Flowers,” followed by the 2025 GRAMMY for Best Country Duo/Group Performance alongside Beyoncé. All of this can be summed up in one name: Miley. This is the name Cyrus has simply chosen to use for this new musical phase of her life, omitting her last name to focus on what matters most.

He had hinted at it on social media in the last few hours, changed his name on those platforms, and now it’s official. And there’s a reason for it. The artist has officially announced his highly anticipated tenth studio album, “Bass Persuades,” coming everywhere on September 18 via Atlantic Records. This album follows “Something Beautiful,” released exactly one year ago, and will also mark his return to the stage, as two dates have been announced at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and October 18.

Miley’s special announcement was also followed by the recent unveiling of a special issue of *Wonderland Magazine*, curated by Miley as guest editor and photographed by Mario Sorrenti. The styling for the issue was handled by Chief Creative Officer Alastair McKimm, a close collaborator of Miley’s on Bass Persuades, alongside Mert Alas, who exclusively created the visual universe surrounding the album.

A new era inspired by her godmother. It’s been only a few days since the passing of the inimitable Dolly Parton, and we’re certain that her legacy will live on forever in Miley’s music. A close, personal, and creative relationship that spanned generations and media, including Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, produced by Lorne Michaels and co-hosted by Miley and Dolly. And it will remain with Miley throughout her career and life.
