Miranda Priestly’s Iconic Outfits Up for Auction at Christie’s New York

Exciting news for fans of *The Devil Wears Prada*: the film’s iconic costumes and accessories are now up for auction at Christie’s as part of an extraordinary online charity auction, running through September 15. All proceeds will be donated to support the Committee to Protect Journalists and the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

The initiative was conceived and strongly supported by Meryl Streep, the unforgettable Miranda Priestly, who had already spearheaded a similar initiative following the release of the first film. Among the most coveted lots are items worn by the actress herself in iconic scenes from the film, such as the red studded pumps by Valentino and the jacket with colorful tassels by Dries Van Noten. Also up for auction are several outfits worn by Anne Hathaway, including Andy Sachs’s famous cerulean blue J.Crew sweater, as well as pieces associated with other cast members, including Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Simone Ashley, and Lady Gaga.

In addition to the wardrobe, the auction offers the chance to purchase exclusive experiences, including a personalized image consultation with stylist Mary Fellowes and a special invitation to attend the Gabriela Hearst fashion show. Fashion enthusiasts and curious visitors who cannot afford to make a purchase can still visit the free public exhibition, held at Christie’s New York at 20 Rockefeller Plaza, which is open through September 13.
