Olivia Rodrigo: Her Daisy Chain Fields Festival Sells Out in 30 Minutes

When Olivia Rodrigo releases a new album, the world stops to listen. And when she decides to organize a festival with a top-tier all-female lineup, tickets sell out in an instant. In recent weeks, the American singer-songwriter has scored two consecutive hits: on June 12, she released *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, her third studio album, cementing her status as the voice of an entire generation through her music. A few days later, on June 23, Rodrigo announced the launch of Daisy Chain Fields, her first music festival.

The event will take place on August 29 in Irvine, California, and will feature an all-female lineup comprising some of the most beloved names in international music, such as Stevie Nicks, Bikini Kill, Mitski, Doechii, Chappell Roan, Garbage, Die Spitz, ELI, KATSEYE, Not for Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and many others. It was an instant success. As reported by Rolling Stone, the Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival sold out in just 30 minutes after tickets went on sale. As of June 24, all ticket categories were already sold out and available only through the waitlist.

The artists will perform for free, and the net proceeds from the event will go to various nonprofit organizations dedicated to protecting the rights of and supporting women and girls, including Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeForm, Jhpiego, the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the National Institute for Reproductive Health, the National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.

“The lineup is truly incredible, full of people I consider heroes and friends I love,” Olivia Rodrigo wrote on Instagram when announcing the festival. “I firmly believe that joy, a sense of community, and music can be drivers of meaningful change, and I hope this festival can be just that. I absolutely can’t wait to scream, dance, and sing along with you all on August 29!”
